Love your wood: Never put your wooden utensils in the dishwasher, or let them stand in water for long periods of time. This causes the wood to dry and split. Once a month (less often if you don't use them often...) wash and dry the utensil, then rub a thin layer of coconut oil, almond oil, sunflower oil, or the oil of your choice over the entire piece. Allow it to soak in for about 15 minutes, then wipe off. This will restore the color and health of your wooden utensils and extend their life!
