Love your wood: Never put your wooden utensils in the dishwasher, or let them stand in water for long periods of time. This causes the wood to dry and split. Once a month (less often if you don't use them often...) wash and dry the utensil, then rub a thin layer of coconut oil, almond oil, sunflower oil, or the oil of your choice over the entire piece.
